Refurbished CyberKnife Helping to Save Lives in the Dominican Republic

OncoServ, a comprehensive cancer center in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, recently inaugurated its new stereotactic radiosurgery suite (SRS).

The newly installed equipment, a CyberKnife robotic system, complements other linear accelerators at the center, including a Varian Unique linear accelerator capable of volumetric arc therapy, and a Varian iX dual photon energy system.  With this suite of equipment, and a Brachytherapy suite, OncoServ can now treat tumors virtually anywhere in the body and the brain, giving hope to cancer patients in the country and around the Caribbean.
